PRESENCE. God has called me to consecrate myself so that I will be more into Him.. He wanted me to be overwhelmed by His presence, not by the things that He will do for me...not by the breakthroughs that He will pour out into my life this 2012. I've got His presence. I came to know Him more... Fasting brings intimacy with God.
POWER. Matthew 4:1,2 says, "Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry." Also Luke 4:14 says, "Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside." Before Jesus began His ministry, he fasted forty days. He knew He was going to need spiritual strength to fulfill His purposes. (VCF Manual). I felt that need too. The need to prepare myself before I do the works for him-- to honor God through my future career and to make disciples. I knew I will be needing power to fulfill my purposes. He gave me that power and I know He will continue to empower me. He healed me from a bad cough and sore throat on the second day of my liquid fast. He is indeed a God who is beyond norm-- a miracle-working God. Even if I did not ate anything, he strengthened my physical body and healed me! He even revealed to me one of my spiritual gifts through my seatmate during the fourth day of the prayer and fasting. Praise God! His presence brings power!
PEACE. Indeed, perfect shalom comes from Jesus. He gave me peace with regard to the breakthroughs that I'm praying for--my personal faith goals, family, career, and ministry. He gave me an assurance. His word confirmed that He will surely guide me this year...Isaiah 58:11 says, “The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” So I declare Psalm 16:5,… "LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure... I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." ♥ Also He promised an answered prayer. He said in John 15:7, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you. I have nothing to be afraid of this 2012! If God is for us, who can be against us?! (Romans 8:31) His presence brings perfect peace.
Thank you Jesus because I have you. Your presence is indeed my ultimate breakthrough! I love you more than I can say! ♥ ♥ ♥ :)
